GO TEACH Bible teaching material

Tracing its roots back to 1946, GO TEACH exists to produce Bible teaching materials to help churches, schools, and individuals teach God's word to children and young people.

Weekly Bible teaching material is published three rimes a year, Spring, Summer and Autumn and in four age groups, 3s - 4s, 5s - 7s, 8s - 11s, 12s - 14s.

Teaching Programme
A four year programme has been drawn up to:

• cover all appropriate major Bible characters, events and teaching
• give all ages the same topics most of the time
• give about half OT lessons and half NT lessons per year
• give some OT and some NT lessons in each book
• give some lessons from the Gospels in each book
• teach the Old Testament and Acts chronologically

There are three parts to each issue: teachers' guide, visual aids and activity sheets.

Teachers Guide
Each teachers guide contains the material for 15 Bible lessons plus ideas for one related family service for all age groups. It also includes templates and other teaching resources. A workshop page gives general help for teaches. Each lesson provides:

clearly stated teaching and response aims

thorough notes for the teacher's preparation

a clear, easy to use lesson outline

a memory verse to summarise the teaching

suggested follow-up activities

Visual Aids
A book of full-colour visual aids, usually printed on only one side of quality paper. Each book comes with a free PC format CD containing the visual aids in colour and outline.

Activity Sheets
The children's workbook, which is also usable as separate leaflets, contains questions, puzzles, and other activities to revise the Bible story and reinforce the lesson.
