Hazel uses a flat-bed laser to etch and cut her designs into paper, acrylic and wood.  These designs are applied to a wide range of products from hanging and freestanding decorations, framed pieces and greetings cards to commercial branding. Her designs are often inspired by her faith or specific locations. For example she has designed bespoke decorations for Kew Gardens, Waddesdon Manor and the Julian of Norwich Centre, as well as for individual churches.

Having had a passion for creativity since school, Hazel's interest in paper and lettering were increased during her time as a missionary in Hong Kong after university. It was there that she was drawn to the precision and delicacy of traditional paper cutting and this led to many creative projects in her spare time whilst working full-time in London.  In 2011 Hazel attended a summer school with a laser-cutting artist in Edinburgh. This proved to be a ‘light bulb moment’ as it drew together many different elements she enjoyed – from sketching to designing at a computer – and she fell in love with the intricacy that can be produced. In 2012 she moved to Buckinghamshire in order to set up her own laser-cutting studio.
