CRE to collaborate with Trussell
CRE (Church Resources Exhibition) and the Trussell are working in partnership to support church community-led food banks by inviting all CRE visitors to contribute essential food and household supplies when the show takes place at Sandown Park, Esher on 14-15 October. This initiative aims to strengthen local food support networks by encouraging exhibitors and attendees to donate items such as tinned tomatoes, tinned meat, pasta, rice, instant noodles, cereal, biscuits, UHT milk, cleaning products and toiletries during the event.
Nina, Manager of the Walton & Hersham foodbank said: "We at the foodbank are thrilled to be collaborating with CRE with this donation drive. We are experiencing a very high demand for our service and support like this is invaluable to enable us to maintain the service".
The donation point will be located near the entrance of the venue, making it easy for visitors to participate by dropping off their donations when they first arrive. All contributions will be collected and distributed through local Trussell food bank centres, helping to meet increased demand within local communities. This collaboration highlights the shared commitment of both organisations to support individuals and families experiencing food uncertainty.
