Two CRE exhibitors launch new integration to save churches admin time
Church Organiser and MyFundAccounting have launched a new Church of England-funded integration designed to reduce administration for parishes – and churches can see both systems at this year’s Church Resources Exhibition (CRE).
The new integration connects Church Organiser, the free church administration system available to Church of England churches, with MyFundAccounting, the church accounting software from Data Developments.
The development of the integration has been funded by The Church Commissioners, helping to bring the two systems together and reduce the administrative workload for parishes, church administrators and treasurers.
Both organisations will be exhibiting at CRE on 14th and 15th October, giving visitors the opportunity to meet the teams and find out more about how the two systems can work together.
Connecting church administration and accounting
Church Organiser is available free of charge to Church of England churches and is built on iKnow Church, The Church of England’s Partner for Administration Software.
MyFundAccounting, developed by Data Developments, provides specialist accounting software for churches and charities and is The Church of England’s Partner for Accounting Software.
With funding from The Church of England, the new integration brings the two systems together, helping parishes reduce the amount of information that needs to be manually transferred between their church administration and accounting software.
Financial transactions processed through Church Organiser can automatically appear within MyFundAccounting, including:
- Wedding and funeral payments
- Event and ticket purchases
- Room bookings
- Donations
For church treasurers and administrators, this means less duplication, less re-keying of financial information and more time to concentrate on other areas of church life.
Saving time for busy churches
Many churches rely on volunteers and small teams to carry out a significant amount of administration. Even relatively simple tasks can take valuable time when the same information needs to be entered into several different systems.
By connecting Church Organiser and MyFundAccounting, transactions can move between the two systems automatically, helping to make the journey from receiving a payment to recording it within the church accounts much simpler.
The Church of England's investment in the integration is designed to help parishes make better use of technology and reduce the time spent on routine administration.
See the integration at CRE
Visitors to this year’s Church Resources Exhibition on 14th and 15th October will be able to meet both teams and see the software in action.
The Church Organiser / iKnow Church team will be demonstrating the free Church Organiser system as well as iKnow Church, giving parishes the opportunity to see the additional administration tools available through The Church of England’s Administration Software Partner.
The Data Developments team will also be exhibiting and will be available to demonstrate MyFundAccounting and discuss how it can help churches manage their accounts and funds.
If your church already uses either system – or you're simply looking for ways to reduce the amount of time spent on church administration and accounting – come and see us at CRE and discover how the new Church of England-funded integration works.
