With the increasing use of ‘off-the-shelf’ ready-meal worship from all over the world, how can local church leaders ensure spiritual formation is happening locally? How can we grow some organic worship? Join Graham Kendrick and Andy Flannagan as they unpack these questions together and consider how churches can nurture authentic, locally rooted discipleship.
Graham’s Bio:
Graham Kendrick has been described as a ‘father of modern worship music’ whose songs are ‘crammed full of poetic, divine, biblical truth’ that have ‘sculpted a view of God that has impacted generations.’ In short, Graham writes songs that help the church to sing.
Since the release of his first album in 1972 Graham has been at the forefront of contemporary Christian music in the UK having written and recorded over 450 songs, many of which are sung around the world, including Shine Jesus Shine, Knowing You, The Servant King and Amazing Love.
Graham's latest release ’Salvation Songs' takes him back to the days of narrative story telling, when coffee bars and folk clubs were his venue of choice and communicating the message of Jesus came through the 6 strings of his acoustic guitar and the crafted lyrics of his songs.
He is based in the UK and travels internationally participating in tours, festivals, conferences and training events, as a worship leader, speaker and performer.
He is an active advocate for the charity Compassion International, encouraging audiences worldwide to understand worship as a way of life, and true intimacy with God as sharing in the concerns of his heart and participating in his mission to the world. Compassion operates in over 27 nations and facilitates the support of over 1.3 million children.
Graham was one of the founders and the songwriter behind the global phenomenon March for Jesus, which mobilised millions of Christians to ‘take the walls off the church’ and bring praise, prayer and acts of goodwill and reconciliation on to the streets.
